Compare your main character to yourself. Remember the further you are in your book the more developed of an answer you should be able to give. PLEASE be thoughtful with your answers either way. Comparisons about physical appearances or similar shallow traits will not score as well as deeper responses.
Have your characters acted in contradiction to previous behaviors? What caused them to do this? How do their decisions affect the conflict of the novel?
What are two important, memorable moments from your novel that are necessary for keeping the story on course? or that are necessary to changing the direction of the events? (Choose only one direction, not both!)
What word, phrase, object, or situation keeps coming up again and again? WHY?
If you are on the same book, how is the answer this time different from the last time you answered this? What tough questions has your character asked? Did they foreshadow any upcoming events? What did the reveal about your character?
What real-life people or events are you reminded of by characters or events in the story? Explain why.
